Thank you, Darlene. :)

Snow File of the Week: "Suite from Pearl Harbor II: Pearlmageddon" (2001).

Did you ever wonder what Mark Snow would sound like in Hans Zimmer/Trevor Rabin mode? Well, here is the answer. The score for this short movie was really fun for Mark. The movie itself is, as you can tell, a parody of Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer action movies and needed a score, that sounded just like the ones in those movies. The cues, that Mark composed, are very short, since the movie only runs 11 minutes. Mark worked for free on this, maybe that's the reason why the tracks don't have the sophisticated sound we are used from Mark. But they are fun to listen to, so enjoy!

Wow, never heard of this 11 minute movie, so thank you for sharing.  Where can I view it?

Really enjoyed listening to this track, and yes, it is a tad different, yet it isn't.  He's so good that he can do anything.

Snow Files of the Week: "Suite from the Pilot" from the tv show "Dark Skies" (1996).

Mark Snow composed the score for the pilot, but was not further involved with the show. Michael Hoenig (former Tangerine Dream member) took over scoring duties for the rest of the show. The growing success of the X-Files back then was surely something, that got Mark involved. It's no surprise, that he made his score sound like something from the X-Files.

This suite was included on the score album with the music by Michael Hoenig, released by Perseverance Records, limited to 1000 copies. The CD is sold out.

Enjoy!

Thank you, Darlene. :)

Snow Files of the Week: "Titles/Sadie tells about Tate" from the tv movie "Helter Skelter" (2004). For this movie about Charles Manson and his "family", Snow composed a very dark and brooding score. Dark ambient soundscapes, combined with tender moments and a hauntig female solo voice.

The CD was released by Buysoundtrax Records, limited to 1000 copies.

Enjoy!

Wow, very dark and brooding, but as usual, awesome.  Mark Snow is fantastic.  Thank you again for sharing.  Is the entire album posted anywhere to download?  It's great driving music where you can drive and let your spirit wander.
