Elders (Moderators) Libby Posted September 9, 2014 Author Elders (Moderators) Share Posted September 9, 2014 This is an interesting blog: https://www.jonfr.com/volcano/ I had realised there was a risk of serious flooding from the melting ice, but I hadn't picked up the risk of sulphur dioxide (acid rain). Earthnut
I wish articles would also post maps so we can get a better perspective. Yes Libby, I too didn't even think of flooding and acid rain. I found an Iceland map showing the volcano's location, which doesn't show a lot of cities and towns. Our very missed member Josef (ty7du) lives in Bergsstadir. Elders (Moderators) Libby Posted November 18, 2014 Author Elders (Moderators) Share Posted November 18, 2014 It's still rumbling on. There's a good video of one area of eruption on this website: https://www.ruv.is/frett/holuhraun-eruption-fresh-video Apparently, the lava field there is the size of Manhattan.
