Some more info on this comic book... I was in my local store today. I have been reading comics since I was a kid and never gave up the habit... :)

Here is what I was told:

1. The first issue releases on Jan 21st.

2. There will be variant covers (if you collect that sort of thing). So far it appears that there will not be any rare variants.

3. This book is being promoted fairly poorly. The guy at the comic store said he had not heard of it, but would order it for me based on my interest. He said I was literally the first person he has talked to about it.

4. I was told it was good that I came in and asked. As a result he will stock, and he is ordering me all variant covers. He said that as of of this morning there is no in store promotional material planned/available.

If you want this one, please make sure you ask. The ongoing series only happens if the 5 issue mini series does well. Pass the word and order it for yourself.

Hi Darlene- cbr is a utility for reading comics in zip or rar files, true, but these days most people download them (legally anyway) from the likes of https://www.comixology.com/ or itunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/idw-comics/id335630043?mt=8

I was referring to the news site: https://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=56162 which has an interview with the writer, Joe Harris. Depressingly they talk about how Frank " tracked down serial killers using his paranormal ability to see through the eyes of murderers." I'm hoping they don't go the paranormal route with the comic.

It's been pretty much confirmed from all the teasers and blurbs that is in fact the route they've taken, which is odd considering Chris Carter is executive producer, and that is exactly the kind of misinterpretation he took issue with in the series. That said, still looking forward to the comic!

Hi everyone,

I posted this elsewhere for interest, I found a great person to write up reviews for the IDW X-Files comics.

https://thex-fileslexicon.blogspot.com/2014/11/chriss-comic-corner-1.html

But knowing that IDW will be running issues of Millennium at the start of 2015, is there anyone here who would be interested in writing reviews of the Millennium comic for The X-Files Lexicon blog? Drop me a line if interested: matt@x-fileslexicon.com

Hi all. I just wanted to say if we can spread the word about the comic launch as much as possible over all media, the more chance it has of sales, and therefore more chance of Frank Black. Buy multiple copies to give out to friends and family, or to leave in a public place for others to chance across. IDW will be looking at the impact the series will have- its up to the Group to make sure we maximise that.

In the meantime I'm continuing on with my Virtual Season 6 comic adaptation, episode 1 of which I'm aiming to post up online October 2015. I've been experimenting with different approaches to colouring etc, and thought I'd share this: https://twitter.com/artofbaz/status/544957789517656064/photo/1

Thanks Wilhelm. It's based on a drawing I did by hand in ink which I then coloured in photoshop. Normally I use watercolours but wanted a flat even tone look to the colours, so used the original freeze frame from a video interview Lance did as the guide underneath the inks themselves. The filter is a basic one in photoshop called 'cutout'- it's not really something anyone would tend to use in comics as it's pretty basic, but it helps simplify an image and can lead to interesting experiments using it as a guide. I've posted the different variations here: https://enginecomics.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/millennium-sketchbook.html
