Besides El Nino, we have to consider all the chemicals the, I assume elite, spray into our atmosphere world-wide.  They even say it's weather modification, but they are just testing...yah, right.  I truly believe chemtrails are destroying our planet.

We actually had some autumnal mist this morning! Then the sun broke through and the temperature got up to about 67F/19C. Really quite a pleasant day. I have noticed that we've got a lot of small birds in the garden now - probably because they've come back from the farmlands as the harvesting is over and it wasn't a good harvest. There's a blackbird who, if it sees movement in the kitchen, perches on the nearest garden chair, staring - so I just have to take out some dried mealworms for it. It's quite a bossy bird and usually has all the mealworms to itself or its mate, but the little birds almost shoved it out of the way today. We've got a bird feeder for nuts, and another one for fat balls, and both need refilling very often. They're lovely to watch.

OMG! It's definitely autumn - the spiders are invading! We have had a few sensible-sized spiders recently, which I've either thwacked out of existence, or sucked up with the vacuum-cleaner-of-doom. But the one this evening I had to get The Husband to deal with. It was about the size of a dinner plate! [slight exaggeration] :eyes:

BOOM BOOM!  Back online.  My broadband went out for a couple of days.   Repair guy   was up the street at a terminal or whatever, he said the thing had multiple issues and he was surprised it ever worked at all!  I gave up my cell phone to keep the internet thanks to rising prices everywhere.  so trying to report my broadband out?  THe phone runs on that.    Luckily I had an appointment near a hospital and you can always count on hospitals to have courtesy phones here and there!  Whew!

Aaargh! Running away from the spider emoticon.

Glad you're back with us, seesthru. The place wouldn't be the same without you.

The other day, when I was working at my desk at the window, I noticed some workmen doing something to the telephone pole. Quite fascinating as such, but I was busy doing stuff on my computer. Then I realised that what they were doing was disconnecting about a dozen homes, including mine, from the telephone system, to replace the telephone pole. There was no prior notice, no informing those dozen houses when they arrived to cut us off. It's a mixed residential area: younger people sometimes work from home and need the internet, older people rely on landline phones or personal alarm systems to press which connects via their phone to their care centre. I'm certain that there were no vulnerable people who could have been at risk during those few hours, but neither the people who organised the works nor those who turned up to do the work, could have been sure.

:spider-1: Companies get away with not informing people all the time, and it's mostly because no one speaks out about it.  Not accusing you Libby.  For example, apartment complexes over-stepping their bounds, like what I went through, by handing a contractor a key to my apartment without telling me, the one living here that someone will be in my apartment.  It's against the law, yet they get away with it because people don't say anything or point it out.  If you haven't already, call the company and tell them.  They need to know that it could have caused some serious problems for the residents, and for all you know, it may have for someone.  I had to call the corporate office again today because of their incompetence regarding what happened.  They have gone to an extreme to "make me happy" and in the process, all they have done is mock me, and single me out.  Long story as you know, but they can't be allowed to get away with what they do.  Sorry, got on a roll.

So it's spider season over there too huh. I just mowed around my parent's place the other day and was busy chasing these crittersspider.thumb.jpg.517317af1c6b7e2eec31557

I call them banana spiders though they're not. Golden Orb spiders are the correct name. There was also a spider that had the biggest body I have ever seen on a web type spider. I don't know what kind it was but the but it's a WAS now

Oh, that is huuuge.

I like the concept of a WAS spider.

There have been reports of increased numbers of false widow spiders in the UK: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24636116

Apparently, it's not an influx, it's that existing populations are expanding. Probably due to climate change. Facts that are not reassuring.
