XFL Brief Interview with Mike Joffe from La-La Land Records

Recommended Posts

X-Files Lexicon did a brief interview with Mike Joffe, from the La-La Land label about The X-Files and Millennium CD titles, and what could happen with Mark Snow's new music for the revival.

Anyway, Mike has been a great friend to XFL, as well as TIWWA, so it was nice to touch base.

A fascinating and very interesting interview. Mike certainly knows 1013 shows.

Really enjoyed the interview Matt, thank you. As Libby says, it's clear he knows and appreciates the shows and their background to the extent you feel your not just purchasing a product, but something that they're genuinely interested in.

TIWWA members, I urge you to spend some time on The X-Files Lexicon after reading the interview, there's a lot of great content to read and enjoy.

I recently bought Haunted on Blu-ray as part of Kino Lorber's going out of print sale for $8.99 along with The First Power (a Milleniumistic horror movie starring Lou Diamond Phillips).  Haunted lasted for 11 episodes and only the first six aired on UPN.  It follows Frank (Matthew Fox)- an ex-cop turned private detective- who has a near death experience after getting stabbed by the guy (Simon) he believes responsible for the disappearance of his son two years ago.  After his near death experience, the door to the other side isn't closed and he is haunted by ghosts including the ghost of Simon.  The TV show has the same color palette of Millennium and a score by Mark Snow.  I wish Haunted lasted longer, but Matthew Fox went on to do Lost

I always liked the name "The Frank Black files" to do a show specially because the name "Millennium", obviously wouldn't have any sense now. So I did a couple of pics just to see how it could look nowadays

From time to time, I try to make photos to tweet to Fox. I think the best chance that the fans have for a movie is to make noise and say to Fox: We want our hero back.
And for me the only way to have it is with Lance and Mr. Carter. If they are not involved, neither will I.

      From a Metro news article:-

Were not suggesting you might get a little excited by this or anything but the first actual trailer for the X-Files reboot has been released.

Yes, after months of teasing us with pictures, plot hints etc, makers Fox have finally given fans the chance to see Mulder and Scully in action once again after this teaser found its way online.

Admittedly, you dont get to see a whole lot of them in action since the clip is a mere 16 seconds long offering just the briefest glimpse of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny.

But it whips up a creepy atmosphere nonetheless thanks to the presence of the military, some kind of bizarre injection procedure and Mulders I Want To Believe poster being cast to the ground in that time.
No, we have no idea what it all means either. But its enough to whet our appetites.

Entertainment Weekly recently revealed the first episode of the new mini-series would be entitled Mr Struggle, and would be directed by series creator Chris Carter.

Meanwhile cast newcomers will include Joel McHale of Community fame who will be playing Tad OMalley described as the anchor of a popular conservative Internet news network who becomes an unlikely ally for Mulder.

According to the trailer the series will premiere in the US in January 2016 although theres no word yet on when well get it here.
