So the season finale was disappointing to me.  Can't help but wonder why CC went for the Wm./Jackson story in such a limited way.  We only get to meet him briefly, then he doesn't appear till the last episode and there just wasn't enough invested in him for me to care.  The rest of the season was extremely strong for X-Files, though, at  least IMO. For anyone else who's seen it, what did you think?

Spoiler ALERT Don't read unless you want it spoiled if you haven't watched yet!

I was disappointed.  The magic that was the X-Files seems to have left.  I don't now if it's because I'm much older than when the original series ended, or they are older.... if I expect too much... Something has been missing.  That said, I still loved it. My biggest   worry/frustration was with  Gillian Anderson's voice.  There was definitely something wrong with her voice.  I've read people try and say it was just  her making it that way, but frankly no.  I think Anderson was sick, had something wrong with her vocal cords.   Her voice got worse throughout this season.

I think the Jackson/ William storyline was just thrown in there.  I don't  think they thought it through.  Phoned it in.   And then  had Mulder and Scully let it go too easily.

And let's see, Scully was born on : February 23, 1964 ...    she is 54 years old, had her eggs all taken away, but one fertilized by smoking man and given back which became William...  then oops?

Oh and yes a head DID pop up!

I know,  it sounds like I didn't like the season.  I did and I didn't.  I  just don't know.   I'm going to give seasons 10 and 11 another watch, a binge watch, to see if I like them better without the  wait between episodes.  Then I"ll know.

BEER-----> I'm for any X-Files. Got me started - about 25 years ago. Then on to 'MillenniuM', what more can you ask for. A little bit of me died when they went off the air. So, I'll take any ending. Maybe it will pop up again.

Well, I've watched the first 6 episodes with 4 to go, and I must agree, this season is better than last.  There's more suspense for one, even more action, and I like the idea of William being brought into it.  Yes, it would make an interesting series, but nowadays, there are way too many spin-offs.  I do agree also on learning more about Skinner, and am definitely looking forward to the last 4 episodes.  Will get back to you guys.

Well, I just finished the season last night, and I must say, there were parts that I liked, and parts that I didn't.  I have mixed feelings, and in a way I wish they would have just stuck with one story line.  It seemed like there was a lot of bouncing around, but still entertaining.  Personally, I think they should stop it here with Mulder and Scully having a child and William going off wherever he goes.  I sure hope the Smoking Man is finally dead and gone.  Every time in the past when we though he was dead, he'd pop up again.  Skinner, on the other hand, I hope is alive, but it didn't appear to be the case.  Just like with Peter Watts, all we saw was feet and legs.
