Bardo Thodol
I really believe that we will see a Millennium film be released over the course of the next 5 years or so. I also truly believe that there is enough enthusiasm about the show to bring about another series in the future, if the film is a success. I truly think that Millennium could end up like Star Trek, with a new series showing up again later because of growing fan enthusiasm and successful movies after the cancellation of the show (which also ended after only 3 series/seasons). It could star both Lance and Brittany Tipplady. Jordan will obviously be older (possibly a young adult by then), and the show could explore and playout her role as one of the "chosen" child-messianic characters of the new millennium (the time frame) eluded to in a couple episodes, particularly 19:19. This was also hinted at in the episode where there Jordan says in slow motion to her dad, "We are shepherds." She would of course be using, displaying, and comming to understand her "gift." I am not sure if she would be the main character, or if such a role would be shared by her and her father. The new focus of the Group would be on the "spacial anomolie" heading for our solar system. And of course, Sarah-Jane Redmond could show up again as Lucy Bulter/Legion to temp, confuse, distract, and/or threaten Jordan and Frank from time to time. There could also be new manifestations of Legion in different forms, like in the original series. What do you think of my ideas? What are yours regarding all of this? Raven Wolf
Well, I have heard Lance say that there will be a Millennium film. Another member here (can't remember who at the moment) said that, too. As for who would star....Lance and Brittany are must-haves! And, personaly, I'd rather see it with a season 1 feel, or a season 2...but NOT season 3. Frank seemed so distant and removed and broken... And I much preferr either a real life feel, like part of season 1 was... or a good vs evil feel...like season 2.
Guest Mikal C Johnson KtCym ECA
I agree. The feel should be some mixture of the first two seasons. Of course, somehow season three would have to be dealt with... maybe Frank waking up to find Peter Watts in the shower assuring him it was just a dream. :grin2:
Raven Wolf
This is an excellent idea, Perennial! A combination of reality and some demonic stuff would rekindle what made Millennium great. Since the real Millennium is past, a new focus could be that we're IN the end-times, and that the mounting violence in today's world is the manifestation of the forces of evil that are now in the world. That the "MillenniuM" wasn't the End, but rather the Beginning of the End!
HighPlainsDrifter
i was watching something intresting on the Discovery Channel called Secret Codes of the Bible? or something like that. About these scholars decoding hidden messages that are prophetic and accurate. Predicted 9/11....in the future it predicts the end of times in 2010, they say a combo of a huge metorite and nuclear bomb...yikes. What they where stressing was the amount of evil that keeps pressing and boiling over. i remember someone writing a discussion about how perfect a Millenium show could thrive off current events. You have to think Chris Carter's mind is just turning out ideas. Mine does..lol
HighPlainsDrifter
Been poundering over ideas that would be great Millenium Movie ideas: Suicides are on the rise but lately priests....lawyers.....biblical teachers are found dead from apparent suiciides or are they suicides. Can someone drive another to committ suicide, well someone can. The main character seems to have the ability to drive people to kill themselves by one touch. Little does he know he is leaving a signature mark.....even though he leaves no prints a burn mark remains on where they are touched. He is also able to see an unseen war that is going on between demons and angels, is he going mad or is he a demon himself. Frank is drawn into the recent suicide and then finds himself tracking down this demonic killer. How do you like the idea?
Guest Allen
I agree. The feel should be some mixture of the first two seasons. Of course, somehow season three would have to be dealt with... maybe Frank waking up to find Peter Watts in the shower assuring him it was just a dream. :grin2: I also agree that the idea is great and it should be more of season 1 and/or 2 but I don't think the dream thing could work now. To me it seems that too much time has passed and that would be almost impossible to explain in a believeable way. Its too bad they didn't come up with this dream idea during season 3 and put the show back on a track that would prolong it's lifespan.
Walkabout
I think enough time has passed that Frank has been able to put Catherine's death behind him and return to the Frank of Season 1 or 2... and Terry O'Quinn has to come back as Peter Watts for sure.... Being a single father trying to protect his daughter would add an element to the stories... a teenager....
Guest Allen
So are we saying keep the same millennium group that we were left with? I don't think I would like it. I miss the idea of this group trying to stop the evil instead of being a part of the evil.
