Star Trek - Picard

Star Trek Picard is two episodes in on CBS All Access. I'd recommend it if you like sci-fi and have at least a passing interest in Star Trek incarnations.  It's been set up very skillfully for a potentially intriguing story re: Romulans, Data, Borg, and of course, Picard, now retired (not really). I like it better than Discovery, which I couldn't (or at least haven't) finished. On a positive note, it's been renewed for next season, so no worries about cancellation at least for a year or so.

Watched the first 2 episodes and it's very good.  After all the S T movies, I think a series with "Picard" is the only story line that would be a hit, and yay, it's renewed.

Watched the first couple of episodes.  So far so good!  I have to   guess at some things, since I missed  a lot of ST stuff.

saw the pilot and coming attractions and I probably would pass even if it was free .  too much retread story lines from other ST and even Blade Runner .   as bad as all the remake movies lately .

@seesthru Don't feel bad--STTNG was on so long ago, I don't think anyone remembers unless they just watched the reruns!

I don't mind watching it..  Even if it rehashes old plots.   Gotham Gal,  Oh!  I have almost forgotten the series.  That's the DATA series, and Wesley Crusher one  I didn't catch the whole thing, but I'd get an episode now and then.  And oops, it's the Picard one too! LOL  D'OH  Yeah, it's been a while, and  I get them all mixed up.  I saw some deep space nine, and whorf was on that one too.

 

I always watched them and picked out who was the Kirk, who was the Spock, who was the Bones, etc... Spock, Data,  Odo, Seven of Nine... all learning to have emotions.. 

 

Anyway, this seems a good thing to watch, since I really HATE reality TV, and  am inbetween seasons on  other shows, etc...

Seesthru, you're not the only one that dislikes reality TV.  Give me space, aliens, and monsters any day of the week over all that scripted stuff.

I am enjoying Picard and looking forward to the next episode.

It's not the scripted part.  It's the back stabbing crap I hate.  Survivor... It's about lying, backstabbing,  yuck!  Housewives of wherever,  backstabbing, gossip,  ugh!  The bachelor, oh gimme a break, yuck!   Seriously ladies,  don't go on that show!  If you gotta fight over him, he's not worth having!   it all turns my stomach, because  it seems to glorify the worst in people.

It's awful. I know a lot of people like that kind of thing, but, it really leaves me  with  a sour gut.
