Guest CyberDude Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 This is a curious idea resulting no doubt from an overheated mind. I know you like the show, we all do, but this is plain childish. I remember when I was around 12 years or so that me and my friends on my street just discovered "Winnetou" by Karl May and in a winter we used to play out at night and try to interpret footprints in the snow, just like the characters in the books used to. In another summer we split into 2 "factions": "The Desert Hawks" and "The Defenders", make huts in the backyards, invent secret alphabets to securely pass messages between us and so on... I think all of us had that period and those habits but as the time passes we kinda keep them down. This whole idea of a real MillenniuM group... there is allready The Academy Group and the're seriously trained people with serious legal backing. What could a few peolpe behind computers do on the Internet? This board's community is a nice one I think and enough to share your passion for this show. What could you possibly do? Access to crime investigations doesn't come at anyone's request... There is a System out there that doesn't really goes along with such ideas... Just my 2 cents here, don't take it personally...
MovieMaker Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 you know (I dont have the time, but) i dont thinks its that childish, if people put their hearts to something and want it bad enough it will happen, how this venture may happen very slowly without some hook up's through someone, but it could work, think about it logicaly, an internet research team specializing in crim research, maybe spaning the globe, for comparisions or trade marks of murders, that have been reported, it wouldnt be that hard to do really, the hardest part would be convincing the local station to pick you up as a lagitamite force to aid in the help of bringin someone down, it would only take one person some where out there knowing someone in law enforcment to give them a chance and the rest would be history, pluse the academy group, cant solve every crime in the world right? just my thought, if your seriouse and you stick to it it could happen but it wont come tomorrow. -MM
Raven Wolf Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Spoken like a true dreamer/pioneer! This is why I like the idea of doing another project with you soon, MM. (another movie or something) I admit I have the logical side of me that says the same thing that Cyber Dude does. But, then, that's the same part of me that said I'd never get a chance to write scripts for a movie of any kind! Now I'm eating my words, huh? I don't know if any of this is possible, but as long as someone's not LOOSING a lot in trying something..then, why not? Right, MM?
Guest CyberDude Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 And how exactly do you "pick up an unsolved murdr or mystery"??? To solve a murder you need access to a murder scene and evidence, being at the spot, behind the yellow police line or reading about it in a newspaper wouldn't help too much I think.

It's actually quit easy to find information on unsolved murders and mysteries. Every incident or death is well documented and transcribed through local and national media coverage. Other sources can aries also if you know where to look. Unsolved mysteries or deaths are not always solved from being behind the yellow line. Just a thought.
Walkabout Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 The only way to know is to experience. Pick a unsolved murder/crime and gather information ; compare reports; search the public records and the Net; could be interesting if nothing else from the aspect of 'where to look' and 'whats out there to see'
Raven Wolf Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 All quite logical advice. Hey, all that's needed after some good ol'fashoned hard work and trusting of intuition is having someone to listen to you. And, you know what they say.... There's one born every minute!

Crazy I tell you!!!!!!!
Guest fidelio_111 Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Hi everybody, If you read Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco, your MillenniuM Team idea could take shape..................................
