This might belong elsewhere but connecting the John Denver "Rocky Mt. High" to "Luminary" caused me to look at some other lyrics by Denver. This one sounds like poetry Frank might have written in Season 2:

SOME DAYS ARE DIAMONDS

(John Denver)

Chorus:

Some days are diamonds - some days are stone

Some times the hard times won't leave me alone

Some times the cold wind blows a chill in my bones

Some days are diamonds - some days are stone

Now the face that I see in the mirror

More and more is a stranger to me

More and more I can see there's a danger

In becoming what I never thought I'd be

chorus

So when you ask how I feel here without you

I'd like to say 'I've been fine' and so I do

But we both know how the truth is hard to come by

And if I told the truth - that's not quite true

chorus

Well, I finally gave into temptation and skipped ahead to disc three of season two and watched Luminary. What a masterpiece!! I can safely say that Millennium, television, and entertainment simply don't get any better than this, and it gets a 10 out of 10 in my book. This episode is simply perfect in every way. First off, the story is as well written as any Millennium episode. The acting is second to none, and the casting is also great, especially with an appearance of .... heck, I don't even remember his name, but I have seen him in a great many character roles, including his role in this episode as the sheriff, or chief of police, or whatever his official position was. Then, there is the absolutely stunning visual beauty of the episode that was so well captured in almost every scene, and an equally beautiful soundtrack that complimented it perfectly. This episode also captures the character of Frank, as he walks out on his Millennium group "interrogation", and then ventures off on his own, following his instincts and finding Alex, despite the fact that he has been left for dead by everyone else in the story. As is often the case, I can't find the words to effectively express how brilliant this show, and this particular episode is, but this is simply as good as it gets.

I have to agree 100 precent.

This episode plays well on every level. One aspect that I didn't really appreciate as much until recently is the way Frank's story involving the Group is so dwarfed by what he expierences with Alex. I think this was a theme that was attempted by Chip Johannesen in season three, like with "Bardo Thodol" and "Goodbye to all That" but not nearly as well. I was saying "Yeah!" when he just casts aside his "passing to the next round" note from Peter near the end and takes his wife's arm.

I can't wait for season three to be released.
