I just noticed this X-files topic folder. I know this is the Millennium message board, but the two shows kind of go hand in hand, and have so much in common, including the best creator of TV series in the history of television (Chris Carter), that it only seems appropriate that there be an X-files folder. Seeing that I have never visited an X-files message board, I would be interesting in knowing what other Millennium fans favorite X-files episodes are. I know it is a very hard choice to make, and that there are countless episodes that are worthy, but one episode does kind of stick out in my mind as one of my very favorites, and that is "One Breath". I just really loved that stage in the shows evolution. I can remember really being spellbound by that time in the season that the episode occurred in, and that there were so many great, memorable moments during that general time frame. As it turns out, when I finally got to that episode in the reruns, I discovered that many of these scenes and moments were concentrated in that episode in particular (One Breath). It was like taking the highlights from many episodes and condensing them into one great one.

If I remember correctly, that is the episode where Skinner shares his story about his out of body experience in the war, where Dana's father comes from beyond to visit her while she hangs between life and death, where Mulder breaks in on the "Cancer Man" and puts a gun in his face, where, after his discussion with Scully's sister :kissypoo: , Mulder decides it is more important to be beside Scully then to wait for the people responsible for her condition, and where Mulder has one of his rare moments where he is overcome by his emotions and cries, only to get the call that Scully has awakened, and when a smile comes over his face you know Scully will be OK. There are just too many great scenes to remember them all, but that show was in top form at that time. Like I said, there are so many great episodes that it's impossible to list them all, and selecting a favorite is extemely difficult. In fact, I can see where it might be impossible for some people.

I don't remember the title but one of my favorites was the flashbacks episode where "Cancer Man's" past was shown. I found it very interesting how they showed his evolution from a young, non-smoking, non-conspiratorial patriotic GI into a middle-aged, chainsmoking, black-ops hit man conspirator.

 to  in one episode!

Episode Number 97 "Gethsemane." Man what a way to end a season thinking that Mulder killed himself, because he came to the belief it was his fault that everyone he knew and cared about are dieing. For me that is my best episode of all the x-files shows--and not a bad follow up too =)

Okay, I admit it, I thought Moose and Squirrel had been together since The Pilot, she did show up in his motel room mostly naked. And so I like the relationship overtoned eps. However, the conspiracy arc is just awesome. And I always needed to bust out my notes. =)

Yes, many of my favorites are on that list, especially "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose", "Paper Hearts", "Small Potatoes" and "Paper Clip". Unfortunately, I am not aware of the titles the way I am with Millennium. There are very few that I actually know the episode name of. The one that really got me started on X-files was in season one. I kind of happened upon it by accident. It was the one where Mulder sneaks into the military base to investigate the mysterious air craft, and is then taken in for a brain wash. There is a lot more to it then that, but does anyone know what the title was? I can remember hearing about the X-files and running across the shows introduction with the X-files music, but I thought it was some kind of a science show or something, and didn't watch it. The next episode I watched was the Eugene Tombs episode, and I was hooked. Another episode that ranks very high for me is "Minds Eye", a great episode, and the one that introduced me to the great Lili Taylor.

I found an X-files episode guide and answered my own question. It appears that I hopped on board during the reruns of the first episode. Hard to believe, one of the best shows ever, and I missed the first year until reruns. Somehow I missed the pilot again in the re-runs, but sure enough the episode that got me going was Deepthroat, and my memory served me correctly as "Squeeze" was the next one on the list. It will be interesting to go through the episode guide and reminisce.

I watched every season faithfully but I'll be damned if I can recall episode titles. I know the first 5 seasons were the best. :oneeyedwinK

I recall the episode Home. That was a freaky one. And the one with the guy Tombs(polaroid stalker in Millenium).

I also recall Anasazi(in the desert right???).

What's the one where they show Scully's (Anderson's real) pregnant belly? That was a good one too.

That Emily one sounds familiar.

Damn, why are the DVD's so pricey?
