Walkabout
Interesting but doesn't look good for a Millennium revisit.. Looks like at best Frank would show up in XFiles #2.. ah well.. we can't have everything
HighPlainsDrifter
i got mix messages from this interview. one thing that appears to me is that it really seems that Frank Blacks appearance in X-Files 2 looks good. If its a great money making opprotunity for FOX they would bring it back. Right now in Hollywood/TV the popularity of supernatural series is high. Medium....Joan of Arcadia....Lost and the return of Kolchak is all a buzz. Someone told me if MM came back as a series their numbers would double not only from a fan base but the young audience would gobble it up. I still think Carter may bring back Frank Black back in some form or another....it will first start in the X-file movie

Guest Frank Black
Ok now im puzzled, I haven't read the interview yet. But Frank going into x-files again? Oh god, I don't hope so! Sorry But I don't have any faith in x-files, and now there will be a new x-files show? I want either a new tv show with frank or a movie, not a nother crap episode like they did in x-files. Sorry but im a huge millennium fan... Ok after I read the interview, x-files the movie 2, sounds interesting, maybe the can fix the last episode with a better closure. About Millennium, to me it sounded like Carter isn't intersted in that show anymore, or his not telling us anything I still belives Millennium is far better than most things on telly today, CSI is good but not GREAT! Guest Regan MacNeil
To me, it sounded like Carter tried to bring Millennium back but the studio wasn't interested. The interviewer asked him if he had ever considered bringing those characters back in a film or on television and Carter replied "Because the business is a forward moving business, I think that they didn’t want to move backwards with Millennium." "...THEY didn't want to move backwards with Millennium" sounds like he tried, but the studio turned him down.

gravity well
Ok after I read the interview, x-files the movie 2, sounds interesting, maybe the can fix the last episode with a better closure.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Given that everything I've read (how little there is out there) that the next X-Files movie is going to be a stand alone horror and not an alien conspiracy thing (boy, that 'all bets are off' crap from Two Fathers/One Son sure amounted to zip) would at least give us some naive hope for SOME sort of Millennium tie-ins, but I'm not holding my breath. I didn't mind the idea they used in the X-Files Millennium episode, just not when used in connection with the Millennium Group. All this huge apocalyptic build up, there's all this evil, blah, blah, blah, and we get half-assed voodoo/Resident Evil. I love the X-Files, but I'd rather see a Millennium movie, especially since this is going to have nothing to do with the (supposedly) impedning alien colonization and more of a horror flick. Its a shame that its popularity/ratings were either misinterpreted or miscalculated, and its sudden demise after the 3rd season left us all not only with a great sense of loss, but also a laundry list of unanswered questions. First of all, the Lucy Butler issue was never really settled to anyones great satisfaction. The "Base Sum of All Evil" always seemed to win the battles with Frank. That to me is one of the biggest gaps the series left behind. Secondly, it would be nice to see Jordan's maturation into a young woman and also see how she would have used her powers, whether for good or evil.. In my opinion, the killing off of Catherine Black was not only a shock but, at least to me, a mistake. Think about it, how many women would have tolerated the following: 1. The murder of two of her husband's friends in their very own home.(Lamentations, and Roosters) 2. Excised body parts left behind in the refrigerator. (Lamentations) 3. A daughter who draws angels with the help of a dead grandmother. (Midnight of the Century) 4. A husband AND daughter who have very unique prophetic abilities. 5. AND WORST, having The Devil himself wandering around in the stairwell. (Lamentations). It would seem to me that she was way more than a "trooper" and i feel she should have been an integral part of the entire series. I was surprised by just how touched i was when i saw her looking down on Jordan at the end of "The Time is Now"... Her departure left a huge hole in the series that i just dont think could have been filled....
