Guest BlackJack_2000 Posted March 15, 2005 Share Posted March 15, 2005 i just fairly recently gotten into the show 'Millennium', and also got my fiance into the show as well. we are still only on the first season, i think we're up to episode 9 or 10, but we both agree that the show is definitely a great show to watch even now in our post-millennial society, because even though the show took place 4/5 years before the millennium, it doesn't feel dated at all, and that's the mark of great television, that something can still be entertaining regardless of when it was made. the writing is simply extraordinary as are the stories, and the characters are so real and compelling, you can't help but get sucked in, its a show that really grabs a hold of you both emotionally and intellectually, and never lets go. The show was definitely the perfect vehicle for Lance Henriksen, he plays Frank Black with such gravitas, it's incredible. the same goes for Megan Gallagher, who plays Catherine. Brittany Tiplady does a great job as the daughter Jordan, she's cute and adorable, but doesn't fall into annoying precociousness. I wasn't sure I was going to like the show, but I'm glad I decided to take a chance, cuz this show is awesome. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm hoping to set up a thread that will give my reviews for each episode, when I have the time to do so. It's something that I would love to do, especially being the latest to join the group, I would be able to give a good perspective on the episodes and stories in general. The moment I popped in the first disc to watch the Pilot episode, from the opening moments I was hooked, especially the music for the opening credits, it's hauntingly beautiful, if that makes any sense. but wisely though, my fiancee and I are watching one episode a week, it's often a ritual we do. it's fun. i also agree that in we could sure use Frank in our post-millennial society. Thank you everyone for the kind words. I'm hoping to set up a thread that will give my reviews for each episode, when I have the time to do so. It's something that I would love to do, especially being the latest to join the group, I would be able to give a good perspective on the episodes and stories in general.
