I don't know if you have been doing so. But, you could wait and bid in the last 3 minutes of the auction. On a slightly related note, Ebay is acting up tonight. I was unable to bid on a auction for a SW Stormtrooper figure set of 4 in mailer box due to the pages not loading. >.<

There are some used copies of the Books at Amazon UK, I don't know if they ship to the US or not. I believe there is another book store in the US that has them but I can't recall the name at the moment.

if its something you really want then you must take your maximum bid and go another 20% ... then if you don't get it... it was way too expensive anyway and you won't be as disappointed.

i was maybe the first bidder at $15....for 2 days no one bidded on it, then my computer got infected......next three days 3 others bidded on it and sold for $54

I'm still willing to help you to bid on things at the last second if you want me to. Placing a high max. is a good idea, too, but sometimes, that just runs the price up prematuraly, it seems. I like to lurk around till the last minute and then swoop in there and get it.

Lurking and then puncing on the item within 3 minutes of it's end really is the best, albeit devious, way to win items. I do find that bidding early will make it rise quicker. I only bid at the last minute on items. ^^
