Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted February 7, 2003 Elders (Admins) Share Posted February 7, 2003 Excellent choice! I loved this film. I don't want to say much so as not to spoil it for anyone. I also like the idea of this Forum's way of recommending movies to MLM fans... great stuff. Gra.
Guest
Beware, some slight spoilers below... Totally, totally super-cala-millenniumistic! I absolutely looooove this film. In fact, it is one of the first films that I really latched onto in my search for all things millenniumistic after the show was cancelled. Denzel was terrific in this one, and John Goodman was great! In addition to the demonology, the occultism, serial killer, and crime drama/thriller aspects of the film, there were also some other very millenniumistic aspects of the film. I am referring the the family "curse/gift" aspect of the woman that assists Denzel's character in tracking down the serial killer/fallen again/Azazeal, and the secrets that were passed to her by her father. I believe her father was also a cop, who somehow came to be able to perceive and see evil for what it was, and dedicated his life to seeing that it could not harm anyone ever again... especially his family. The woman herself seems to also have this ability, and surrounds herself with angels adorning the walls of her apartment. Sound familiar? Also, there was the excellent use of songs and musical moments! Completely MillenniuMistic with both M's capitalized! I definitely give this one two thumbs up... two severed thumbs! T-i-i-i-ime is on my side/Yes it is...

voidprime
I have to get my two cents in and say I didn't really care for Fallen. It may be Millenniumistic, but everytime i see it and watch some of Fallen that I still don't care much for it. It's an OK film, but I have seen better than this one. Just not my cup of tea. Have a better one. Be Seeing You, David Blackwell
Guest
....i have to agree,i did not care for it either. in fact,to be blunt, ahem,i thought it was pretty sucky. i love denzel washington,i love the direcor, who is a veteran of "hill street blues"-(on every afternoon on "bravo" 2-p.m.)-and "nypd-blue",but this film just did not fire on all cylinders for me. i thought it was awkwardly paced and is the only performance by washington that, for me,did not ring true. ~se7en TO SCOTT: EMAIL ME YA WANKER!!! Guest Second Coming
I can see how the fans of slasher films or graphic violence wouldn't really like this movie. I myself don't really care for horror films. I like movies with mystery, atmosphere, suspense, psychological aspect and drama. To be honest I thought it was absolutely fantastic. :D
