Raven Wolf
RW...yeah, i was just funnin ya...i will most certainly give it a look when the 3rd season finally arrives here, and dont get me wrong "Beware of the Dog" is one of the better episodes, but i still dont get how a guy who grows weary of the violence around him , moves to a bucolic, pristine area , builds a nice house on land he bought, can upset the balance :Gehenna_demon: . He wasn't guilty of anything but wanting to live in an area where he felt safe, just like all of us do.. who wouldn't want to move from the streets of a busy, faceless, nameless city to an area where you know your neighbors by their first names, where you can go down to the local diner and see the same people day after day...nothing wrong with that.. And by the way RW, you are one of the most upbeat people here, and thats why we are so very fond of you.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whhhhhhhhooooooooooo............ MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE????????????? You mean I'm ready for my Selfosophy Wings? You can view Beware of the Dog in that way, and I see what you mean. I think, perhaps, the message it was attempting to convey was that people don't take responsibility, and just run away, wanting to place the blame on someone else, and that, eventualy, the Universe will say "Enough is enough. Time to stop running from the problem and start being part of the solution."
Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted June 18, 2005 Author Elders (Admins) Share Posted June 18, 2005 Some gruesome deaths there all right. I think we Brits were very into our torture devices in the Dark Ages. Lots of grusome ways to go! :mabiuswoz'ere:
Guest chrisnu
1) being eaten alive 2) having your head slowly hacked off Those both seem particularly excruciating, because at what point of suffering do you actually expire?
Guest blondton13
Well, there's two deaths that come to mind.... 1. The scene in Braveheart where Mel Gibson is being disemboweled alive. That looks very painful! 2. The scene in Casino where Joe Pesci and his brother are beaten to a pulp with baseball bats and then rolled into the hole still alive where they are buried with dirt. That always gives me the heebie~jeebies!!!

Gunslinger
That razor blade idea wasn't easy to think about! I agree fire would be terrible, the screams of the Reverend in Millennium burning at the stake were horrible. Arden Cohen in that episode said you mercifully run out of oxygen and pass out but I don't know. :Gehenna_demon: Drowning is supposed to hurt like hell when your lungs fill up and I've read that your brain is still concious until it runs out of oxygen. Come on you downbeat Dark b*******s! Think of some! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ive seen quite a few dead bodies being in law enforcement, suicide by handgun, overdose, hanging, homeless people who have died due to exposure, old people with no families that died of heart attacks and no one found them for 2 weeks when their rent went past due, car accident victims, and yes several of those were from fires that started due to collisions. in all these people i have noticed one thing, one very common thing among burn victims, never was there a more agonized look of pain and suffering than on someones face who had burned to death, on several cadavers faces i have noticed usually just a non expression, call it what you will, release, relief, resignation, but i really have never seen a serene expression on someone who was burned. just my 2 cents, this is who we are. Gunslinger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, not that burning isn't painful....but remember, the muscles contract in the body as it burns...that's why the arms are always drawn up to the middle and the jaw is always open.
