being a Christian organization does not mean that it is immune to worldly issues...look thru history how essences of pornography (lust, etc) have befallen man. King David sending Uriah, Bathseba's husband into battle knowing that he would be killed, clearing the way for David to marry her, already pregnant with his child..more recently, we have seem Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggart, Wade Boggs, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Duchovny, and a host of others who have admitted to having an addiction to pornography/sex, etc..with today's electronic age, its everywhere and anywhere, available 24 hours a day with just the click of a button. I found some of the stats i provided simply astonishing, although, i have known for quite some time that porn is the biggest problem amongst those who profess a belief in Christianity. From the rich to the poor, from the believers to the non-believers, it permeates our society across all societal, economic and philosophical backgrounds.

We can debate its merits pro and con until the cows come home, but with even our advertising appealing directly to our sexual nature, it appears to be here to stay...

Wade Boggs!!??

Boggs' performance on the field was memorable enough. But it was the surrounding issues that made him even more fascinating. Superstitions? He had dozens, the result of a strict military upbringing, and didn't mind talking about them.

He became famous for eating chicken before every game. He based his entire game-day routine on a precise schedule, leaving home, running onto the field, doing drills at the exact same time. He would take the same number of ground balls, do specific things running on and off the field, store his bats a certain way, draw a Hebrew Chai sign in the batter's box.

Controversy? Nothing can match the public theater of having a multimillion-dollar palimony suit filed against him in 1988 by his former mistress, Margo Adams, which was settled out of court.

But Boggs made it interesting, sitting down with his wife, Debbie, for a tell-all Barbara Walters interview then later watching a Geraldo Rivera report on sex addiction and saying he had a similar condition.

I was watching "The Jersey Devil" this monring and I noticed that early in the episode Mulder was in the office alone looking at a centerfold of a nudie magazine called Hanky-Panky. Once again Scully catches him in the act and Mulder was non-chalant about it. He even mentioned that the centerfold claim she was abducted by Aliens and boy did she defy gravity!
