Some years back, I had an undercover cop looking dude approach me and say he was an undercover cop. He wanted me to join him at a bar, where he was surveiling someone. He needed to not stick out so he wanted a female to accompany him. At first I agreed but as the time approached, I couldn't do it. a few years later, I heard a serial killer had used that ruse on some of his victims. Not my first run in with a SK.. But the closest.

So I would be cautious, and probably have a friend nearby, and meet in a public place in daylight, far away from the doors... and I'd not take any food or drink offered!
