There are so many scenes that bring a lump to the throat. As it is Christmas I will leap in with the scenes between Frank, Linda and Henry. When Henry is recanting Linda's story and gets to the part where she locks herself in her room to die I can always feel the old throat tightening but nothing, nothing at all, compares to scenes of Catherine walking into the forest to die at the end of season two. It gets me every single time and is performed perfectly by Megan.

Oh yes, Luminary, another favorite. Hard to pick just one.

I especially got excited in one episode where the family dog got revenge by killing the man who killed his/her family. Wish I could remember the name of the episode. I've searched every way I can but still keep coming up with "Beware of the Dog" which is not the episode in mind. Anyone remember this scene and episode? I shouted when the dog got revenge and I think it even sacrificed its own life.

Yee ha yippe, just found it and came back to edit my post. The episode is "Wide Open."

Suddenly, Cutter steps from the shadows and strikes Frank with a curtain rod, knocking him to the floor. Before Cutter can finish his assault, the family dog charges and leaps at Cutter, knocking him over the a bannister and sending him crashing into a glass table on the floor below.

I just don't remember, but after reading this I'm thinking the dog survived. I hope so. It doesn't say.

I have no doubt that the dog survived. Dogs are very smart and probably were the original "protect and serve".

From memory, Frank and (?) weren't that concerned to phone 911 for the perp, but I'm sure they would have sought help for the dog if it had been injured.
