Wow, I'm really looking forward to a movie based on Paradise Lost. I plan on reading the book soon. I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but never did. :embarassed: I hope the special effects will be great. I can't wait to see the angels fight.:angel2::devil::gehenna:

Have you ever seen the "Prophecy" series of movies? Warring angels is what that's all about. Interestingly, the first one has Viggo Mortensen as the earthly manifestation of Satan. This was before most people knew who he was.

I once saw a few minutes of a 'Prophecy' movie, but I thought it was bad and switched channels. :death: I was curious because it had Christopher Walken. But I don't think it was the original, but a sequel. I remember someone beating the head of a 'beast' or something and an awful amount of blood after that. Maybe I should watch the original. It does sound good. Thanks for mentioning it :ouro:

The first one was the best, but all three were unique enough in subject to warrant at least one viewing. Apparently the first one was so popular, the video rental place I use couldn't keep a copy of it. Finally had to buy it on a DVD when it came out in that form.

sorry for piping in again.

The original was absolutely the best. the insight into the 'old testament' angels really hit me. Like Lara Mean's angels they often appeared as a warning or portent of disaster.

When I first saw LOTR and Viggo I thought - OMG it's the devil!!

They have since made 2 more, Prophecy movies, with new cast, i thought these last two installments were alot better then the other ones with exception of the first which is still the best. One of the new ones is called

"uprising"
