Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted December 30, 2005 Elders (Admins) Share Posted December 30, 2005 Hi Joe, This was posted some time ago and if you look at the forum descriptions, the forums that don't increment user's post counts are marked. Its mainly because some Members never or seldom post in the Millennium forums and only post in the off-topic Coffee Lounge type forums. Its a way of encouraging those members to post more about Millennium, the purpose and basis of the Board and to discourage such Members from acquiring better Board privileges and permissions (Blog etc) without making at least some of the same effort that others do. There are only 2-4 forums that don't increment post count, even posting Blog and Gallery comments boosts Member's post counts so as you can see its aimed squarely at the off-topic forums. Its fairer for all Members I think especially when some Members effectively carry the Board at times, a fact that has not gone unnoticed and I think they deserve something for it. Guest ein042
Congrats Joe! As a long time lurker and still low ranking member I totally agree with the way that works. Those very eloquent and knowledgeable members definitely deserve their status. I don't always have the confidence to post in those forums because, frankly - they've usually said it all! There occasionally is one I'd like to jump on, but more often someone beats me to it and ends up saying what I thought Much better than I could, lol! A very fair system. Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted December 31, 2005 Elders (Admins) Share Posted December 31, 2005 Hi! I just wanted to clarify that my comments in my previous post were not aimed at Members who lurk or who post infrequently! I know you didn't take it that way but I thought I should point it out anyway. My recognition is with people who only post in off-topic forums, however often and rarely or never in the main forums. Thanks! Graham

You are a very patient man :)
