Guest Blue
Well, I am at awe that no other MM super fan has been talking about this movie yet. I found it on Kazza, and going to Loews to see it this weekend. If this movie isnt Millennialistic, I dont know what is....super fast zombies, these aint your Fathers zombies! Bardo Thodol
I am planning to go see it myself! It definitely looks millenniumistic in the post-apocalyptic sense. From the previews, the whole zombie-disease aspect of the story seems very similar to the idea of the Four Horseman Zombies of The X-Files "Millennium" episode. The idea of these Zombies was to bring about the apocalypse by spreading death and zombie-ism thru with these Four Horseman. Fortunately, Agent Mulder and Frank Black saw to it that the Four Zombies never got out of Mr Johnson's basement! So, it seems like this movie picks up, where the "Millennium" X-Files episode would have left off, if the Zomies had gotten out of the basement at the stroke of Midnight December 31, 1999. Frank really needs to stay the hell out of those basements, man! They always seem to cause him problems! Scott
Guest ignes fatuisi
oh yeah, i'm looking forward to that movie, too. i'm downloading it from kazaa at the moment, and watched the first 10 minutes, it was really dark, and had big connections with Millennium!! especially with "The 4th horseman" and "the time is now" episodes. Also, it is said that 28 Days Later is the best thing Danny Boyle did since trainspotting. Let's hope so! IF.
Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted July 2, 2003 Elders (Admins) Share Posted July 2, 2003 Hey, I took your advice and downloaded it via Kazaa. 28 Days Later is one disturbing movie. excellent story and characters, genuine frightening with great use of sound and video. Who needs big effects? Watch a 6 minute trailer here. It made me recall the 70's TV Show on UK TV called "Survivors" and that was fascinating to watch too. Being a series over 3 seasons it had time to pan out the story line from the Pilot ep where a defecting Russian Scientist brought an infection/plague into Heathrow Airport, London before dying and within days it had spread across the globe. It really made you think about how hard it would be to get life going again with no electricity or gas or petrol and tinned foods eventually fading out. Winter was the biggest killer with no food growing and it took certain types of characters to make a community grow such as the main character who was an Engineer before the plague. He was keen to rebuild electricty supplies etc from natural sources such as hydro or wind power. If you suffered a broken leg or arm you were basically stuffed because of infection and lack of medications. The Pilot episode was called "The Fourth Horseman"! A truly stunning masterpeice of provocative thought and definiteley Millenniumistic at times, perhaps made even better by its low budget. If this series is out at all it should be viewed again... Updated I just found a great site about Survivors which you can find here: https://www.survivorstvseries.com/. Great news is that the Series will be available on DVD from October 2003. Visit the site for more news... Gra.
Guest
......well,gra,all i can say is I MUST SEE THIS SHOW! i had to lock both my dvd-r burner and dvd-rom drives into region-1 in order to use dvd-x copy program. ...are there region free dvd-rom drives out there? -(i can no longer watch my 6-mills eithers!!! !!!) ~se7en
Bardo Thodol
That show sounds excellent, Graham. Interesting it was a Russian that spread the plague - tying in the who "bear from the north" apocalyptic prophesy, if indirectly. The other reason it is interesting is that MLM makes mention of the Russions being the ones who enhanced the Marburg Virus. The other reason is the "northern bear"/anti-christ prophesy was obviously used in Maranatha. Scott

I usually make mine Region Free. Get your region Free firmware from here under Download Firmware: The Firmware Page Usually you then have to use a 'Region Free' program to make your DVD Software Player ie. PowerDVD, WinDVD etc into Region Free too. I use DVD Genie and Region Selector. A free & handy Utility to tell you about your DVD-Rom Drive can be downloaded from here: DVDINFO V1.07 (450KB) If you don't want to update your firmware (a relatively simple procedure, provided you take precautions like following instructions, don't leave a DVD inside the player, disable AntiVirus Software etc ) you can try this program here. Regards, Graham.
Bardo Thodol
Okay, all I have to say is... I am speechless!!! I saw "28 Days Later", and I am speechless! This was an amazing film in every way. I have NEVER reacted and been so captivated and pulled into a film as this! The way it was shot was amazing! And the "make up" and acting of the "infected" masses was incredible. This movie was like one long amazing rollercoaster/horror-house ride! It scared the BLANK out of me! Throughout the whole film I was audibly saying, "Holy BLEEP... this is BLEEPED up! This is incredible" I couldn't help myself. This was by far more enthralling, suspensefully, and impacting than the action and effects of even The Matrix films! Un-BLEEPIN'-believeable! The acting was great, the story was plausible and believeable, it was well written and well directed! Outstanding! And of course the british humour was "spot on"! I recommend this to anyone and everyone! Scott

I don't recall any stinkin' zombies on MillenniuM? I do want to see the flick however and not because of any relationship with our favorite show, rather my favorite video games. It seems more Resident Evil-istic to me.
Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted July 7, 2003 Elders (Admins) Share Posted July 7, 2003 There's something far more terrifying about Zombies, sorry "The Infected" running fast as f*ck after you to tear you to peices than shuffling Zombies in my book. The scenes of London and surrounding towns etc being empty stayed with me for some time afterwards... in fact the whole film did stay with me for a few days afterwards... Don't look up! Gra.
