I remember being able to stay up late to watch it on F/X in early 2001 when I was laid off, but it seems like it was on at 10:00 PM, or something like that, the previous year. I would therefore say that it was a two year stretch that started at some point in 1999 or 2000 and ended in 2001. Of course, this is just a guestimation on my part and someone will probably chime in shortly with more accurate information.
