The pilot had a good ending. The episode was amazing and after the ending you knew: there is more good stuff coming.

Gehenna: same as above. Even more exciting.

The Time Is Now ofcourse. I love the static. It really feels like the end of the world.

First of all, I think the Pilot was probably the strongest pilot I have ever seen for a television show, ever. I mean, when I saw it the night it first aired, the impact on me was monumental because of the subtlely imaginative, disturbingly real and portentous implications of the episodes content. Implications which were hauntingly nailed home by the perp's monologue to Frank, ending with a part gasped, part whispered, "You can't stop it..." Sends chills down my spine just remembering it to right this. Fantastic ending.

Regarding The Time is now, the static was a uniquely strange and scary way to end an episode on so many levels, accompanied by the sounds of broadcasted or transmitted reports of the outbreak and chaos, and cries for help (won't get into all the layers of meaning that I think are conveyed by what I call the the "static mytharc" or "static motif" running through the show right now. I just discussed my thoughts on this in another thread about a week or so ago). And then the song 2525 coming in just to send it home. You really felt about as empty and worn down as Frank did at that moment by the time the credits started rolling. Brilliant!

Hello folks, I've been gone a while.

I'll mention "Midnight of the Century". That's probably the best bit of acting, by all involved, of the entire show, in my opinion.

Ahhh yes, Midnight of the Century is one of the best episodes of the series and of television I have seen. Without a second thought or consideration, I can put "Midnight" in my Millennium top 10. The episode really has it all, and with the acting, the writing, the original music, and the casting (ex. Darren McGavin), this episodes represents the very best that the series has to offer. As good as it is, I make sure only to watch it a couple of times a year so it doesn't lose its impact or freshness. I agree, the ending is very good and very memorable as Jordan runs up to greet Frank and they both see the ghostly images, and then we see Frank's Dad.

PS, welcome back, and where did you find your Avatar? It reminds me of Lara Palmer from Twin Peeks.

Thank you, and it is Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks. I think I picked that one up on the Rottten Tomatoes forum for movie discussion.

Another episode that ended strongly was "The Thin White Line", although my favorite part of the episode, by far, was the interview with Hance.

Also, "Seven and One".

One of my fav endings is The Thin White Line. I was also drawn into the interview scene, especially since he finds it necessary to give, @ least one instance that defined his slip into the person that he became.

Two of the things that Bundy always brought up was: his persoanl trauma of finding out that his sister was actually his mother & the other he insisted was violently suggestive porn.

In Ed Gein's past you'll hear of such triggers as: having a super religious, all-controlling mother who also drilled into him, relentlessly, that all other women are dirty sinners.

Oooh so hard...

Goodbye to All That: That better of not been Peter's bloodied body parts back there because in the fanfic I'm writing, he's alive and well...for the most part.

Force Majure: Hooray for being 'home free until 2010'! If Catherine only knew not all of em would be around to see 2010...

Well-Worn Lock: Definitely ranks up there... symbolic throwing away the bad memories, fears and the old life with the throwing the key into the water... Also shows what people will do to hide things to keep political and social prestige...

The ending of Saturn Dreaming of Mercury always gives me the chills watching the child's head rotate around and shapeshift into Lucy's head amidst all those flames. That and the house regenerating itself.
