on a positive note, i made a recipe for a really good hamburger
expensive, but really good
you start with portabella mushrooms, and sweet onions, and chop them up realy fine. saute them in a frying pan untill the onions and mushrooms are carmalized , then add them to the ground meat that has one egg and crumbled assiago cheese. form into pattys, and wrap with prochutta.
pan frying them works better than grilling. top with pickle, tomato, and your choice of bread.
It came in second place in the burger cookoff, but, IMHO, there was a bit of politics with it, because I tried the competitors burger, and hers taisted like cardboard with provalone cheese on it. (honestly)
