Equus

Just seeing if anyone here has read the play "Equus" by Peter Shaffer?  Though I'd heard about it before and seen a scene from it performed, I wasn't able to get a copy of it until this summer and read it.  The storyline reminds me greatly of "Broken World", in that there is a man (a boy, really; he's only a teenager) who has this deep profound love of horses, almost a worship of them, but for some reason one night blinds six of them with a hoofpick.  The play is about his psychiatrist's desperate search for reasons why not only in the boy, but in himself.

I highly recommend the read, if you haven't read it already.  And if you had, discuss!
