Really Disappointed

i'm about halfway thru season 8 and the whole series has just degenerated into something that doesn't even resemble TXF. i don't know if it's cause mulder is not a regular and CC just didn't know how to handle a storyline without him or they'd just run out of things to do with the whole series. gillian, whom i think is one of the most beautiful women in the world, has been reduced to brooding and crying and off-handed looks. granted, she does this well, but she also has a gorgeous smile and that is hardly ever seen any more. i think Doggett is a great character and CC could certainly do something with a brand new storyline, ridding the series of mulder and scully altogether (and i know that would piss off a lot of fans). bringing krychek back in cameos was unnecessary. skinner is the only one that i'm halfway pleased with. i love his character, but he always seemed just a tad bit overly melodramatic with his eyebrow raising and pained looks and now that he's a believer and trying to help scully through her hard times and bring mulder back, he's actually become more human. it's a side i wish we could have seen of him earlier on in the series. the new director is just an ass and i'm wondering where reyes is going to fit into all of this.

for a series that i was fully addicted to for the first 6 years, i'm really disappointed with what it's all become. i'm even hesitant to look into year nine as i'm afraid it'll be even worse than eight.

Trust me, it gets worse. While Season 8 appears to be widely disputed among fans quality-wise, Season 9 is without a doubt the worst.

...we enjoyed S8 very much, and were not really expecting too. I found it better than S7 but not the wondefully fun S6...after the ATROCIOUS,HORRIBLE, MELODRAMATIC AND BORING S5.

(HALFWAY THRU S9 WE LITERALLY "HAD" TO STOP WATCHING IT; IT WAS THAT BAD.)

i was really disappointed from i believe s5 or 6 and on, very sad to see such a great show go to crap in my opinion

thank goodness i have the first 3 seasons of Alias on DVD to keep me happy...
