Guest Wellington Posted June 20, 2003 Share Posted June 20, 2003 Hi 50 years ago, Julius and Hethel Rosenberg were executed under a federal sentence as traitors. They were accused of having given the secret of the nuclear weapon to the soviets. Yes, and they were communists too. It was the time of McCarthy's witch hunt, and they had no chance in front the public administration nor even in the public opinion. As tragic as this story is (Mrs Rosenberg's guilt is still in doubt), it reminds me strongly of the MM episode where we learn of the re-birth of the Group under Hoover's guidance and where a candidate has to investigate in the Manhattan Project development facilities.
