UK based but internationally available magazine PC Format, is to include a complete episode of MillenniuM on DVD format next month. In this month's magazine there is a preview on page 161 of next months issue available on sale 17th June 2004.

The information reads...

Millennium (On the disc)

"Complete episode of the sci-fi horror series from the creator of The X-Files, Chris Carter."

It includes a picture of Frank and Catherine Black believed to be from the pilot episode.

PC Format Magazine has offered several TV episodes before, usually the pilot episode of a series, such as Space 1999, UFO or Captain Scarlet. They are usually part of the magazine's free cover DVD containing the latest game demos and software. The magazine (DVD issue not CD issue) retails at £6.49.

This is an excellent opportunity to own the pilot episode on DVD for free.

Is this "internationally available" PC Format magazine pretty common in the U.S. or is it like a hard-to-find speciality magazine? I live in a totally small town, do you think this is something a store like Wal-Mart would usually carry? (I don't know a lot about computer magazines.)

As I understand it, the magazine does go by different names in certain countries, they occasional show some front covers from international versions. From their website: overseas customers, call +44 870 444 8459. Please quote offer code PCFW162 when you call. This is for subscribing but I'm sure you can enquire about availabililty or just e-mail them from their website. I just subscribed after years of reading it, it's an excellent read.

No problem and welcome to This Is Who We Are!

Actually I think if MillenniuM wasn't coming to DVD and so soon, this would have been the biggest news and opportuntity for fans for some time. Funny how things change.

So does anyone know what the magazine will be called in the US, and which retailers will be carrying it?

Thanks

I e-mailed them about this and here's what they said;

"Distribution of PCF outside of the UK is targeted to specialist press

outlets; try a store that stocks a selection of international products

(many have special 'International Press' window stickers.) If you are

still having problems getting hold of a copy of PCF, look up the

importing distributor for your country from

https://www.futurenet.co.uk/futureonline/ov...fault.asp"

It sounds to me like even if you did find a copy of this here in the U.S., it still would have been made in the UK, so I don't know if the DVD would even work in region 1 players. I think we're just going to have to wait until July 20th.

Web Link fixed. The Old Man.
