this sounds like a preview, not a review as the "promises to be scary fun" seems to indicate they have not seen it yet...

I hear they have excellent articles.

But as for my own two cents worth, I found it a very interesting movie, but lacked the paranormal aspect I was expecting

I think thats why Carter and Spotnitz repeatedly stated that this was designed as a stand alone movie exclusive of the mythos of the origional series, one that John Q. Public could watch without having to be intimately involved in either the heirachy or mythology of the origional series...
