Bubonic plague, which is not contagious between humans, can mutate into pneumonic plague which is communicable.

Bubonic plague is spread by fleas who carry the microbes from infected rodents to humans.

BEER---> Not to worry - we're OK here in So Cal. I did read and listen to a discussion about the woman on the radio that had the 'Plague'. Seems like she got it from a pet or squirrel that had a flea.
