Elders (Admins) The Old Man Posted March 20, 2007 Elders (Admins) Share Posted March 20, 2007 I watched the video, its pretty amazing but I can sympathise with people about the environment issues. That said, its good that the locals will ultimately own it.

Beerbelch
BEER-----> It's a good thing I booked my reservations (September) at the Grand Canyon before this news came out. Probably wouldn't have gotten a room on the rim. BTW, if the Indians hadn't put this in, they probably would have built a gambling casino - they're looking for revenue. BELCH I heard on one of the national news shows a couple of days ago that the tribe has already tried gambling and it apparently didn't bring in the income they wanted. If that's the case, it's the first time I've heard of a reservation casino losing money.
4th Horseman
I heard on one of the national news shows a couple of days ago that the tribe has already tried gambling and it apparently didn't bring in the income they wanted. If that's the case, it's the first time I've heard of a reservation casino losing money. If a casino failed, then i would venture to guess that this will be a bust as well...not much return on investment so to speak. 25.00 to scare the hell out of yourself? I do that everynight working graveyard in Southern California, and thats for free!!!. Another issue going against its success, is that is in the middle of nowhere with only a dirt road for access...infrastructure improvements will cost a fortune (paving roads, gas stations, hotels, restaurants, etc), so i dont see this as being at best, a break even project... 4th Horseman
