Here's a nice little Frank Spotnitz interview.

Besides, CC and Spotnitz are going to attend the Paley Festival tomorrow, so there's hope for more news on XF2. (I just wish someone there would pop the question about the MM movie, too! :fool: )

Hi Darkie :)

A little confirmation or denial wouldn't go a miss would it? I'm sure they're aware that Lance has put the concept of a MM movie into the public domain again, mind you I believe they may be reticent about spoiling XF2's thunder with such an announcement.

Fingers crossed,

Eth

PS Anyone know if Lance, Terry or anyone else are doing the conventions in the UK this year? I have been trying to keep track on them all on an almost daily basis but it isn't looking promising yet. I thought Terry might be at this years Lockdown but sadly they seem to be struggling to get any of the Lost big guns except Henry Ian Cusick.

Fingers crossed for this also.

Guest Laurent.

Exactly four months away... release date is set to july 25th. The promotional trailers and posters will surely appear soon; Dark Knight's release is only a week earlier and the promotion begone a while ago.

"Darkie" sounds almost as nice as "Marky"!

I agree, it's not very likely that they would concentrate on anything else but the XF movie. Since they probably won't reveal much about the plot, the title could well be today's piece of delicious news.

Nah 'Darkie' sounds much sweeter,

On the issue of a title Chris recently stated that a title had been confirmed and that it would be released 'shortly' before the film's release in an interview given shortly after he claimed that no confirmed title had been chosen but one would be ready 'shortly'? Promotion is gonna be something of chore with no title so they're gonna have to pull their socks up. At this stage in the day one would expect a viral campaign, a few web teasers, maybe an arg beginning with an official web site....

Smiles,

Eth

According to https://www.xfilesnews.com/ there's still no title revealed for the movie. They've released a trailer at the Paley festival, so watch out for spoilers, if you want to check the site. Also, Fox has put a synopsis of the movie at https://www.foxmovies.com/

Edited to add an article from SciFi.com

https://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?c...=0&id=51151

Possible spoilers there too!

Attention!! According to this article, CC said this about a MM movie: "We've talked about that over the years," he said. "Lance would love to do it. I don't know if it would ever get done. It's a long shot. It would be fun. I have ideas about how to do it." --

Not very promising, but at least he didn't say "absolutely not"!

I'll try and post that info on a separate thread later when I get the chance; very busy right now!

Guest Laurent.

Thanks for sharing the links dontbesodark! Glad you included a few spoiler warnings... it's tough to keep updated without learning too much.
