I have been lucky enough that everyone I have shown MM to has loved it.

Maybe it helps that they have all been hardcore XF fans, who are familiar with Carter/Spotnitz and love seeing all the guest-stars that they recognize from XF.

I think you just had bad timing, and maybe shouldn't try to show it in groups.

Try sitting alone with one other person, with the lights and phone off... That way they wouldn't be distracted and have to compete for attention.

Good luck on finding some awesome people to share the show with.
