Guest lilblackgirl Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Found this interesting. You think Lucy's involved? Sony has implicated hacking group Anonymous as being behind the recent attacks on Sony's PSN and Sony Online Entertainment services, which have compromised the credit card details of millions of Sony customers. Several Sony services, on both PlayStation and PC, remain offline. Sony boss Kaz Hirai made the implication in an open letter to the US House of Representatives subcommitte, which is (along with some other governments) investigating the attacks. "We discovered that the intruders had planted a file on one of our Sony Online Entertainment servers named 'Anonymous' with the words 'We are Legion'," said Sony's Patrick Seybold on the official PlayStation blog. Hirai's letter also confirmed that no fraudulent credit card activity has been reported following the attacks, indicating that the hacks were not motivated by financial gain. Anonymous has denied involvement however, although it says it does 'have a beef' with Sony over the lawsuits bought against PS3 firmware breaker George 'Geohot' Hotz. Prior to the recent PSN attacks Anonymous insisted that it would not attack PSN out of a desire to wound Sony, not customers. grabbed from Bit-Gamer: https://www.bit-tech....ech.net+feed%29
IHaveGoodInstincts Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I'm thinking that this is more along the lines of Brian Roedecker or an angry ComLogic exec!
Earthnut Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Andrew, I agree, it is probably Roedecker since the only target is Sony. Lucy/Legion on the other hand, would be malicious and go after the customers.
