I never actually bought a Blu-Ray player and thought on demand may be a better option these days, but it's nice to hold a physical product with the artwork in your hands.

Agree with you totally, it is nice to hold the physical product.  I was given a BluRay player for Christmas last year.  The only bad thing is if you watch a DVD copy that has Cinavia protection on it, the BluRay players pick it up.  You have to watch an original copy.
