A simular case happened in the Chicago area several years ago only it was the father of the unborn child [ the two were estranged] who killed the woman and then cut the baby from her. He was caught and got life in prison as I recall.

This raises so many questions that I don't know where to start. First are things really getting worse or does it seem to be worse because we are here with it? I kind of think that although the past was full of bad things also it is getting worse. Which raises the next question Why is it getting worse? Finally more to this case how can someone become so divorced from reality that they can convince themselves that this is an acceptable way to, for lack of a better term deal with their miscarrage.
