hello everybody :) I didn't know about this show until last year when my uncle's wife showed me the show while I was down in Montreal for Christmas. Once I started it was hard to stop watching them. I had been an X Files fan and missed that kind of show. I'm also a big CSI fan, and she said it was sort of a darker version of it...and I like dark. The millennium side of it was icing on the cake. I watched the whole first season while on holiday, and got my other uncle hooked to it too. When I got home I ordered Season 2 and 3. I must admit Season two wasn't what I expected, although I found some episodes funny. Season 3 turned out much better, and I wanted more! I wish they had kept going. I liked the apperance Frank Black made in X Files, I saw it on the bonus features of the DVD. But I still think they could have done more seasons. Ah well, I've watched the DVDs 4 times at least now. I got my dad hooked on it too hehe. Anyway, glad I found my way here...thanks Stephen L.

LOL, you know someone is way up there in Canada when they say that they were "down" in Montreal. :oneeyedwinK Well, let me start by saying that if you like "dark", and you like CSI, then Millennium must have been a great discovery for you. You share a common thread with many here in being an X-files fan. There was a time when it was far and away my favorite series ever, but Millennium came soon after to capture that distinction. I agree, once you get hooked, there is no turning back, and you become addicted. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Millennium, and the X-files for that matter, were just so superior to most of the other programing out there. I'm sure you will eventually run across the whole "best season" debate, as it has been discussed many times, but season two was actually my favorite, followed by season 1 and then season 3, but they were all good, and it's a crying shame  that there were not more seasons to follow. To this day Millennium remains my all time favorite series, and it isn't likely to be replaced any time soon.

PS, welcome to the forum.

Welcome, Tanya. Glad you found us and even more glad you found Millennium. I'm impressed that you've managed to get your uncle and father interested in the show as well.

You're just a few months older than my son (but not quite as old as my daughter) and it was my two offspring who initially got me hooked on the X-Files. However, I did manage to find Millennium all by myself but that was probably prompted by my daughter advising me not to watch it because she thought it would upset me. I guess I'm a rebel!

I've just looked up Nunavut on Google Earth and, my goodness, you are far north. If you'd like, you could add your location to the board map (see link top right). It would be good to have a MM flag in that part of the world.

You forgot to add some smilies to your post, Joe. P'raps you ran out, as you used such a lot of them in your posts with L@the. Here, have some of mine: :oneeyedwinK:rofl::embarassed::rock2:

Tanya, check out some of the posts twixt Joe and L@the (and some of our other miscreants). The usual internet response to such is to suggest the participants get a room, but the board would miss out on some of our most "entertaining" posts if they did. :kissypoo:

I haven't looked at the member map yet, but I googled Nunavut, and it is indeed way up there. It looks like it would be a beautiful place to visit. Whenever I think of an area like that, I always have the impression that you can leave your doors unlocked there and that everyone is decent and friendly and everyone knows each other, but I guess you can have jerks anywhere. It might just be my own experience and could even be a coincidence, but I have frequently gone to Canada, and it just seems like people are more considerate, friendly and mature there, especially in the case of young people. Maybe I have just been lucky. Living near Detroit and being 20 minutes from Windsor and 40 minutes from Sarnia, Canada used to be my home away from home. I used to travel there almost weekly, but it's such a pain getting over and back through customs, and there are such long delays that it just isn't worth it. I guess we will have to spend $100 for a passport before long to get over there, so it wont be long before Canada becomes just a memory to me.

I am FAR more manly and muscular than that my Dear Lady...

Welcome indeed to a GREAT, interesting group of people where you will learn anything from the versatile arts of:

Mixing Vodka and Extreme Violence (MIB)

Every POSSIBLE porn variant (JOE)

Numerous and multi-textured commentary concerning seeing The Virgin in his sandwich (4th Whoresman)

Deep, Cryptic, and Arcane news bits from places you NEVER heard of (Southern Celt)

Powerful guidance and the removing of lovely video clips from the board, bless his Omniscient Heart (The Old Man)

Kind and Lovely thoughts from our First Ladies (Libby & RavenWolf)

And various and sundry from many, many others too!

BTW, Joe's cautions & warnings are completely misplaced; we welcome ALL to our friendly board!

However, I would be remiss not to mention due to your unfortunate comments concerning Season 2 that I believe we do indeed have some new WUSSY FODDER!!!!!!

MWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! :gehenna:
