The tracks on the Season 1 CD are from:

01 - Millennium Theme (Main Titles Long / Extended)

02 - Pilot

03 - Millennium Theme (Main Titles Short)

04 - Pilot

05 - Pilot

06 - Gehenna

07 - Gehenna

08 - Gehenna

09 - Blood Relatives

10 - Blood Relatives

11 - Blood Relatives

12 - Force Majure

13 - Marantha

14 - Marantha

15 - Marantha

16 - Marantha

17 - Lamentation

18 - Lamentation

19 - Powers, Principalities, Thrones and Dominions

20 - Powers, Principalities, Thrones and Dominions

21 - Powers, Principalities, Thrones and Dominions

22 - Powers, Principalities, Thrones and Dominions

23 - Millennium Theme (End Titles)

These are commonly mislabeled with each track having a name from each episode of the season.

I didn't spot track 12 but it certainly is familiar, perhaps I missed it [Edit - someone said in another post it's from Force Majure]

The same tune on track 18 is used in the X Files Season 5's Post Modern Prometheus (of which there is also a leaked CD of, I believe)

The melody is largely based on a classical piece, if I'm not mistaken, but the name of it seems to have been wiped from my mind.

Now, if only I could one day get my hands on these wonderful tracks.

Hi,

I just checked the new Millennium Music Guide which has an entry for this episode's music.

Festival Overture "The Year 1812", Op.49; French Ouverture Solonelle 1812 (The Opening Theme) was the music Mark Snow based his theme on for this ep. Very nice it is too!

23 - Millennium Theme (End Titles)

Slight error compared to my copy, track 23 is another instrumental piece, I don't recognise the episode.

On mine, Millennium Theme (End Titles) is Track 24, the final track. Older topics and posts in this forum would indicate there are only 23 tracks on the promotional Season 1 cd.

Check the track lengths, it's likely it's the copy of an other track. I remember having realized there was that kind of tweak in my "digital copy" of the CD. I have 22 tracks + the end titles (previously track 24, but in fact 23). It's been a while since I rearranged and renamed everything so I don't remember how it was exactly.

Aha, yes you were spot on. I checked and it was a copy of the Lamentation track, #18. I must have made a snafu sometime.

I only noticed because I was updating the titles to match Exit75's list above.

Cheers!

Thanks very much for this! (This is 100% correct, right?)

I also had another track 23, but it's the same as track 19 in my version, not 18.

Did anyone ever come up with separate track titles per track?

Well look what popped up on Ebay.

I don't know how legit they are. I've never seen season 2 or 3 promos out there before and all the bogus copies of season 1 I've seen don't have this artwork.

Season 1 here seems to have less tracks than the "leaked" mp3 set and so are possibly not from the 'stolen from Mark's studio' occasion.

I see the sets use the catalogue numbers MSCD 01, MSCD 02, MSCD 03. The digital Best of Millennium release used MSCD 04 which makes sense. Perhaps these promos were intended for commercial release at some point and instead a Best of the 3 seasons only was favoured picking tracks from the promos.
