Can you say "Scaaaary!"  I wouldn't want to be a kid alone with that man anywhere -- he was just kinda creepy in general!

he was a cool character.      He si the knid of person i would love to have as a grandpa (FYI- I never knew either grandpa of mine since they both died before I was born).

I wouldn't want him to be my grandpa!  He would've freaked me out when I was a kid.  I didn't know one of my grandpas (died when my mom was just a child), and I hardly ever saw my step-grandpa, and my dad's dad was mean and died when I was pretty young.  I don't have any of the cool-grandma-ness either, because they're weird.  So in short, I'd like to be friends with the Old Man *now*, but if I was a kid, we never would've hit it off.  I would've been too busy cowering and hiding.  What can I say, I was a shy and easily frightened kid.
