XF2: IWTB official promotion

I'm pretty sure that if the shot with the crew is used in the film they will take them out numerically! It's not unusual for trailers to feature incomplete special effect shots; they want to show off the beautiful scenes of the movie, like this helicopter-shot of the search party in the snow, but since they release trailers before post-production they have to rely on uncompleted version! And it's not like it is remarkable from a "normal" viewer point of view.

As far as I'm concerned, it's just a funny easter egg... like the guy falling in the snow who'll probably be in the movie, you can find pictures of this over x-files ultimate, somewhere in the news archive...

Exactly! I remember the last James Bond trailer had a very visible camera that was rigged on a car, while the car was crashing. I just hope that they notice the guy falling in the snow

I guess you could say it is realistic, 50 people walking and running in a snowfield... at least one of them will fall in the snow like 75% of the time.

Anyway, I came back here to post an interesting news that may spice up the promotion of XF2. X-Files News report that the online trailer of the movie is different from the theatrical trailer that will be used to promote the film in movie theater. The new footage should be featured with The Happening's release. There is a description of the new scenes over at X-Files News but I won't discuss it here. By respect for those who can control themselves and not read everything that comes out about the movie!! ... Damn it

I am not a big fan of rap music but I have to say I just LOVE this song. Very very dark and x-filish. And it seems like Xzibit is such a nice guy, he is very enthusiastic about The X-Files. I've heard XF is his favorite show. ;) Can't wait to hear the soundtrack albums, both Mark Snow's and the multi-artist compilation.

New promotion news!

The title of the movie has been announced for Québec: "X-Files: Je veux y croire"

I think it is pretty good. They got rid of the "Aux Frontière du Réel" and took the original name of the series... And the subtitle is close enough to the real one. Literally, "I want to believe it" instead of "I want to believe"... for your information: the "it" is the "y" in the middle of the subtitle. "Je veux croire" was probably judged too religious for marketing.

The French poster (for France) has also been released and it is even worst than the American version. You can easily find it here.

Now I have to hope that someone, somewhere, manages to do good work and go back to the teaser poster for promotion in Quebec.
