Brittany Alexandra Tiplady was born on the 21st of January 1991 in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. She‘s the daughter of Scott and Susanna Tiplady and the sister of Avery Tiplady, who is also a child performer. Brittany‘s hobbies include ballet and playing piano.
Brittany is best known for her role as Jordan Black, daughter of Frank and Catherine Black in Millennium. Her career as a child actress began as early as in 1994 when she played Katie in the TV movie Sin and Redemption. During her career she has acted in numerous TV shows and films, for example Sean Penn‘s movie The Pledge, and TV movies Double Bill and For All Time. In addition to having done some commercials during the last few years, she has most recently (2006) appeared in the tv series The Collector playing Brynn.
Brittany‘s portrayal of Jordan Black in Millennium was an essential bright spot in the gloomy world of the show. Despite the many different traits of Jordan‘s character, Brittany‘s way of playing the role was amazingly natural. It was apparent that she felt at home, and that she also had a very good relationship with both Megan Gallagher and Lance Henriksen, who played her parents. Megan Gallagher has even said in an interview that Brittany made her want children of her own: "I was in a kind of no-man‘s land about that, I think. And then I realised how cool it could be to hang out with a child all day. Because we did, and she was so fun." *
Brittany won Best Performance in a TV Drama Series - Supporting Young Actress - Young Artists Award of Hollywood 1998 for her role of Jordan Black.
